The Strength of a Rock
When we look at a rock, do we see its true nature or can we see past the obvious, to its spirit and learn from what it presents, a rock celebrates strength, standing straight in adversities face. Rocks are old and have been on earth for millions of years, a testament to their strength.
Rocks, as strong as they are, do break down over time, showing that even strength must give way to time and nature. Water, over time, shapes and cuts solid rock, even though cut it seems to operate in some parallel with the water allowing it to cut new paths.
Wind can form rock, cut rock and shape rock; showing that even though there is strength, there is also a sense of flexibility in even the strongest of substances.
1. As a rock is strong, how would you define your strength? Where does it come from?
2. Based on the simple truth that nothing last forever, how are you preparing for the end of your life
3. How will you display your strength from this point on?
