Pearls of Wisdom
![]() Imagine if you will, that you have just lived your last moments on this backwater planet called Earth, you have exhausted all the time given to you, it's now over and you must move on, as you stand there looking at the shell of what was once your body laying there on your bed, you start to think about what you are leaving behind, you start to think about the person laying next to your body, maybe your children in the other room, snuggled up tightly in their blankets, will you ever see them again? What will happen when they awake and you do not. It's early morning, you can hear the birds chirping as the sun starts to creep up over the horizon, the last morning you will ever experience on this planet, life will move on even though you are not a part of that life anymore, would you be filled with sadness as you look at everything that was once your life and now you must leave that life? It sounds very sad and depressing, does it not? We start to realize that we don't really have much time here on this spinning ball of rock. Maybe what we don't understand is that as we die here, perhaps...maybe, just maybe.... we are born somewhere else, I sometimes think of that place, what it might be like, think of where you might go after your time here is over, what would that place be like, could you describe it? I can imagine a place where happiness is the priority, where work is done for the betterment of the world, not for paper money, a place where work is done after only a couple hours each turn of the day, this place would put a strong emphasis of creativity, the arts, knowledge, learning for learning's sake, a place that emphasizes time with our families and our friends, where climbing a corporate ladder doesn't exist, my place would let us be what we were meant to be, whatever we wanted, an artist, a poet or even a gardener, where we could finally practice the art of being HUMAN.
