Pearls of Wisdom
![]() The previous post below is the beginning of a book that I am writing that contains the elements of the demonic, an otherworldly affliction or form of spiritual torture that comes to us from the dark side to affect us in the material-light side of our world. In various media, such as stories and movies, demons are portrayed as vile and disgusting creatures that torment man in some perpetual cycle, evil from elsewhere, an evil myth, think of (The Screwtape Letters or The Exorcist). However, there is another form of this word, similarly sounding, known as the Daimonic, many people are not aware of the Daimonic, it carries a different meaning than the literal interpretation of the word "demon", and is meant to convey a sense of power in movement, some internal, irrepressible drive that all humans have to move forward, to evolve, this daimonic drive moves us towards individuation, or the idea that we can develop a sense of "ourself", this daimonic force in psychology can be both creative and destructive, it moves us to some teleological notion, hopefully for us more creative than it is destructive.
