Pearls of Wisdom
A myth is an image in terms of which we try to make sense of the world. Everyone has a story, a story about their life and their happenings, this story is called YOU.
Many people spend vast amounts of time reading about other people’s stories but never really truly spend time looking at their own story. This story called YOU is currently being written and depending where you are in your life it is perhaps in the beginning, the middle or the end, regardless of where your story is taking place, it is YOU. Your story that you are writing is called your personal myth and this personal myth contains many different elements, elements of sadness, happiness, excitement, loss and gain. When you start to understand your story and what it contains you start to understand how you interact with the world. Perhaps your story contains many elements of sadness, many more than any other element; ask yourself “why is my personal myth filled with so much sadness”, everyone’s story will be different, there are no two that are identical. Our story leads us into UNDERSTANDING our worldview or how we see and interact with the world around us, our story leads us into a deeper sense of who we are as a person, “who are you” is such a hard question to answer, but looking at our personal myth or our story can help us to better understand who we are and when we understand our story most importantly we can begin to write the remainder of it the way we want.
